These Wild Things (Art & Writing Challenge)
These Wild Things
I am drawn to them. I am struck and at once, arrested by them. I have stopped to watch them. I have many times. They are Black Vultures and they are wild. Here, now, in the middle of this sparse field, a group of dead trees. Sitting on the dead branches, the wild things exist.
They can’t belong to this world. Theirs is a dark world. A stormy world. Amidst the background of a brightly lit scene, they are outstanding. Yet, I feel they are here for me only.
They occupy a space that possesses them. Outlines them. Travels with them. Their tangible energy, potent and powerful holds me still. The intensity in their eyes, untamed. I am unnerved.
These are the wild things. And I see them.

Inspiration:
There is a group of Black Vultures that lives and cleans up our town. I see them frequently when out and about in different places. When I first saw them, they were so striking to me that ever since I am oddly excited when I catch sight of them. I have not met anyone who shares this fascination, hence the big question marks above those heads who happen to be with me at the time.

These were both done for the current challenge theme, 'Where The Wild Things Are'. Please go have a visit at The Artist Challenge and The Inferno for other member's varying interpretations.
