My Black Heart
There upon the rock lay a black heart.
The black heart that belonged to me.
And there is the knife, plunged deep inside.
Inside to where I cannot see.
For in time there was of a moment
A moment love found us, bound us.
While we held each other's tender hearts,
On Earth, brief was our love joyous.
From Death a red heart was left for him.
Left not for me, though I did plead.
Love stolen, my heart blackened with grief,
That I did seek revenge with greed.
Quick to me it came, I choose my fate.
Fate not in sadness, but freedom.
With my love in the everafter,
Where safe from you in our sanctum.
So, dear Death, I leave my Valentine for you
...Laid here on this rock.
...Laid here on this rock.
